Life in the Limelight

Limelight was how the stage was lit before electricity was discovered. Basically, illumination was produced by heating blocks of lime until they glowed.

Isn't that fascinating?... I actually considered trying this experiment with some limes from our kitchen last night, until I literally just realized that it's talking about the other lime. Not the sour green fruit...
